Evaluation on Voluntary Activities of Young age group at Hospital



Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the actual condition of and evaluate the voluntary activities of young age group.
The involved volunteer number during summer vacation were 379 person and voluntary activities were done from 3day to 1week per person at 21 department of Wallace Memorial Baptist Hospital.
In this study, methods of three types of questionaire survey were used.
Interviewing was done with a former official and 72 samples of the survey-1 were collected from the hospital staff to investigate the actual condition.
208 samples of the survey-2 were collected from young age volunteer groups and after vounteer's activites, 65 samples of the survey-3 were collected from the staff.
The results of the survey were as follows.
1) 86.4% of the staff showed the voluntary activities of the young age group was helpful in their work.
2) The worked time of voluntary activites was 4,689 hours and these hours might be evaluated as the work of 21 employer.
3) The satisfaction degree of the volunteer was 73%(n=151/208).

This study suggest that voluntary activites by young age group have a positive influence at hospital through sharing daily work of employer and it might be connected to improving public relation of hospital with satisfaction of volunteer.
It is needed to educate of the staff for systemic manage of voluntary activities.
